The SGXL has a 120-gallon spray capacity.

Steel Green Manufacturing has launched the SGXL, a multifunction applicator with high capacity and versatility.

As Steel Green’s largest machine yet, the SGXL has a 120-gallon spray capacity and 14-foot four-section rear breakaway boom with electric-hydraulic lift actuators. The SGXL features a 35-horsepower Kawasaki engine, 100-foot hose reel, 2.5-gallon foam marker, LED light bar, hillside assist system, and pressure control system.

Optional accessories include a liquid rate control system and a 350-pound hopper kit with lift system. An industry-first touchscreen rate controller is an optional feature that will be available soon.

The size and versatility of the SGXL make it the perfect solution for many golf courses, sports fields, commercial properties, and large residential lawns. Its 12-mph transport speed and 27-gpm centrifugal pump save time, at a time when efficiency is everything.

The Steel Green team developed the SGXL to meet the need for a larger, more versatile machine for turfgrass professionals. Taking prototypes to trade shows and use sites over the past year, the team received valuable feedback to design a machine that provides exceptional comfort and stability without requiring much storage space.

“We’re excited to launch this new product for turf pros who manage large sites with limited resources. The SGXL has a small footprint but a big impact,” said Brent Mills, senior product specialist.

Advantages of AD’s drone franchise include direct training and lower investment costs.

Aquiline Drones has now combined the drone industry with the demand for external property care services and developed a drone franchise business model.

Specifically, the CT-based drone manufacturer offers the power of drone technology to fulfill various exterior cleaning and improvement services safely, quickly and cost-effectively.

“Franchising has contributed greatly to the overall economy since 1731 and has proven to be a lucrative avenue for those who seek both work freedom and financial stability,” said Barry Alexander, founder and CEO of Aquiline Drones. “There are thousands of franchises across hundreds of industries, but none like ours in the drone sector, so it’s perfect timing for those wanting to grow their business from the ground floor up.

“Clearly, the sky is the limit and with a drone franchise given the rapidly evolving and lucrative drone services market, a new franchisee can literally dominate an entire region in a very short period,” adds Alexander.  “In fact, we are already seeing substantial interest since we announced this unique and creative franchise model with customers already purchasing our equipment.”

Advantages of AD’s drone franchise include direct training, easy-to-secure financing, lower investment costs, piggybacking off an established corporate brand, proven management and work practices, and ongoing support – all creating a higher rate of success than other start-up companies in the same business category.

June 19-25 is National GreenCare for Troops Awareness Week.

Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops celebrates military families and volunteers in June and formally recognizes June 19-25, 2022 as National GreenCare for Troops Awareness Week. These recognitions are meant to raise awareness with military families and encourage eligible personnel to register to receive services as well as thank current volunteers and encourage more to register.

“GreenCare for Troops is more than a program that checks a box and takes care of a necessary service, it has become a transformative experience for both volunteers and recipients,” said Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “Not only do our volunteers provide a valued service that relieves a burden for military families, but they are also sustaining a healthy, safe lawn and yard for kids to play and families to unwind in at the end of a stressful day.”

GreenCare for Troops marks its 16th year in 2022 and has provided an estimated $15 million in donated lawn and landscape services and peace of mind to thousands of military families in need across the country.

“I hold a special place for anyone who leaves their family to go to an unknown land to protect the many freedoms we have here,” said Blaine Pinkerton, VP of Turf and Ornamental Sales for Nufarm, the title sponsor for GreenCare for Troops. “National GreenCare for Troops Awareness Week gives us the opportunity to recognize and thank to our military families for their commitment to our country and thank GreenCare for Troops volunteers for their commitment to our military families through lawn and landscape work.”

Parks, lawns, landscapes and maintained green spaces help to mitigate temperature increase in communities and significantly reduce energy use and cooling costs. Project EverGreen’s initiatives – GreenCare for Troops and GreenCare for Communities – have made a significant impact.

Through its nationwide base of professional volunteers, Project EverGreen has connected people, plants and their communities to maximize the health of grass, plants and trees, which in turn sequesters carbon and cleans the air. Both initiatives support healthy green spaces in neighborhoods and cities, enabling maintained green spaces to function as the lungs of the city and offsetting the negative effects of a warming environment.

A single group or individual cannot transform lawns, landscapes and parks but Project EverGreen’s coalition of businesses and individuals helps maintain green spaces so they can thrive.

Project EverGreen also offers a SnowCare for Troops program that provides complimentary snow and ice removal services for families of deployed military personnel.
